The XVI Congress of the European Association of Thermology will be an influential conference for professionals in biomedical temperature science. It is a unique opportunity for industry and scientists to meet and acquire new knowledge, as well as to exchange experience of temperature measurement in medicine and biology during oral presentation and poster sessions. WROCŁAW UNIVERSITY OF ENVIRONMENTAL AND LIFE SCIENCES is one of the best specialised universities in Poland. It focuses its wide-ranging activities on education and research covering agriculture and related sciences. The profile of WUELS and its mission are directly involved in transformation programmes dealing with rural development and food quality and management, with full respect paid to social support and interaction. The knowledge acquired and the research projects carried out at WUELS make provision for future development, regarding all aspects of environmentally sustainable development, which is friendly to human and animal welfare. At present Wrocław University of Environmental and Life Sciences is the only agricultural University in the south-west region of Poland. Nearly 13,000 students are enrolled across five faculties over two campuses.
The university has its origins in the University of Breslau Institute of Agriculture, which opened on Mattiaplatz in 1881. The Institute moved to Hansastrasse in 1923, which remains the main building of the university to this day. Higher education in Wrocław was entirely restructured in 1945 to form the State University and Polytechnic. After 1951, the School of Agriculture was separated from these establishments to become a distinct university, finally adopting its current title in 2006. The university is currently the place of education for around 13,000 students

Our congress venue is the Faculty of Biology and Animal Science on ul. Chełmońskiego in the eastern suburbs of Wrocław. The Faculty building boasts excellent conference facilities including a large lecture theatre, ample lobby space for networking and poster presentations, and a spacious restaurant for lunch breaks.
